Starting position
Goal: Take out both attacking troops while both of your Princess Towers survive.
Your hand (each card once)
- Tesla4 elixir
- Skeletons1 elixir
Opponent
- Knight
- Hog Rider
Hints
Hint 1
The Hog Rider ignores troops and only chases buildings. The Knight does not.
Hint 2
A building between your Princess Towers can turn the Hog Rider into range of both.
Solution
- Skeletons. Drop Skeletons at the exit of your left bridge. The Knight pauses to fight them. The Hog Rider does not, because he only targets buildings, and he keeps coming down the left lane alone.
- Tesla. Put the Tesla in the middle of your side, closer to your towers than to the river, so it sits between the Princess Towers. The Hog Rider turns toward the Tesla, and both towers can shoot him there.
- Wait. Once both cards are down, wait. The towers and the Tesla take out the Hog Rider first, then the Knight.
- 1. Skeletons — tile (3, 17)
- 2. Tesla — tile (8, 22)
Video walkthrough
Why it works
Skeletons are a troop, so they only interrupt the Knight. The Hog Rider keeps walking until a building is the nearest target.
A low central Tesla is that building. Both Princess Towers can reach the tile he turns onto.
Why it fails: common mistakes
- Tesla too close to the river, or off to one side — Only one tower can reach the Hog Rider. Move the Tesla lower and back to the center.
- Skeletons late or off the Knight's path — He walks in beside the Hog Rider and soaks the shots. Put Skeletons at the left bridge before he crosses.
Other ways to solve it
- Some players drop Tesla in the center first, then Skeletons beside it to help finish both attackers.
- Another reported line is a deep Tesla, then Skeletons on the Hog Rider just before he reaches it. The timing is tight.
